Vehicle strikes deer on 1st Street

Grand Junction, Colo. – Officers with the Department of Wildlife were on the scene of a vehicle that struck a deer around 10 a.m. this morning.

The vehicle hit the deer and left it behind on F ¼ and 1st Street. The injured doe attempted to move away from the street and then it got caught between two fences.

When officers arrived they had to put the doe down.
