GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- Colorado's High Country has made way for a presidential visit ahead of the holiday weekend.

Vice President Joe Biden landed in Grand Junction on Air Force Two Thursday night, and this morning, he and his family will start a weekend vacation in Snowmass for President's Day weekend.

Some reports indicate First Lady Michelle Obama might be joining the vice president here in Colorado. According to the Aspen Daily News, the first lady is expected to stay in the Aspen area this weekend as well.

It could part of a presidential tradition for the Obamas. Michelle and her two daughters Malia and Sasha spent President's Day weekend in Aspen last year, according to USA today, while President Barack Obama remained in Washington D.C.

They spent the same weekend in Vail in 2010.

The White House says no public events are scheduled for Biden or the first lady this weekend.
