CENTENNIAL, Colo. (AP) -- People are gathering for a vigil for the student who was critically wounded in the shooting at Arapahoe High School.

Students and others holding candles gathered Saturday night to show support for 17-year-old Claire Davis. The senior was shot point blank in the head Friday afternoon and appeared to simply be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

She's in critical condition at Littleton Adventist Hospital.

Friends and well-wishers have been posting prayers online and some are raising money to help pay for her medical care.

Senior Chris Davis helped organize the fundraiser in hopes of helping his classmates and the larger community heal. A sign he posted read "Warriors always take care of one another," an unofficial school saying often referenced during morning announcements.
