GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. The Grand Junction Visitor and Convention bureau is boasting a new award for their brand new website this year.

The VCB received the Magellan award from Travel Weekly Magazine, alongside places like Mexico, Disney and Hong Kong among others.

For the first time ever, it's website got more than 1-million page views in a single year.

"We're seeing over 300,000 people have gone to our website interested in something to do in Grand Junction," says Visitor and Convention Bureau spokesperson, Mistalynn Meyeraan. "The events page has been the most popular page throughout the entire year, so we know that they're coming here for events an we hope that they're staying in hotels and eating in restaurants and shopping downtown."

VCB officials say they've made the website more interactive, and that it provides suggestions based on the visitor's browsing history on the site.
