WATCH FULL VIDEO: Paul Ryan campaigns in Montrose
MONTROSE, Colo. (KKCO) -- Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan makes his second stop on the Western Slope in less than two weeks.
Friday, the candidate made a last plea to voters at the Black Canyon Jet Center hangar in Montrose.
Ryan's stay was a short one; he also traveled to Ohio and Iowa the same day to address voters in those pivotal swing states.
On the Montrose stage, Ryan was joined by local Republicans like State Senator Steve King and State Representatives Don Coram and Ray Scott, who spoke before Ryan.
The VP candidate was last on the Western Slope on Oct. 22, when he spoke at Colorado Mesa University's Brownson Arena.
The Obama For America-Colorado office just issued (at 4:46 p.m. Friday) a statement about Ryan's remarks in Montrose.
"Colorado voters are not going to be fooled by Paul Ryan's attempts to turn Medicare into a voucher program, slash investments in education, and sell the same top-down, failed policies that crashed our economy and devastated the middle class. Under President Obama's leadership, businesses have added 5.4 million new jobs over the past 32 straight months of private-sector job growth, and his plan to accelerate the recovery would create more jobs now.
