Rifle, Colo. (KKCO) --- As of 6:15 p.m., officials announced that the fire is 485 acres in size and that they have approximately 60% containment.

There is a partial lifting of the evacuations. Residents are allowed to return to their homes but must be aware that they may have to leave again if fire conditions demand it.

Highway 325 remains closed to non-residential traffic at mile marker 7.

Rifle Falls Park and Rifle Mountain Park remain closed. Rifle Gap is open but the reservoir is closed to boating until helicopters are done using it to fill their buckets.

Crew's efforts are still focused on the northeastern front of the fire.
