DENVER (AP) -- The Colorado State Patrol is asking for the public's help in finding a 41-year-old Longmont man charged with vehicular homicide and DUI after the death of his 7-year-old son.

The Denver Post reports (http://bit.ly/15S3gBm) a warrant has been issued for Manuel Nunez, also known as Manuel Nunez-Luna, who investigators believe went into hiding in Colorado or California after the Aug. 23 crash in Boulder County that killed Vicente Nunez.

Manuel Nunez was arrested after the crash but was released as state troopers continued their investigation.

Investigators say he ran a red light and crashed after swerving to avoid crossing traffic. He and six other passengers, including four children ages 5 through 15, suffered minor injuries.

Anyone with information about Nunez' whereabouts is asked to call Trooper Rob Madden at 303-239-4501.
