Grand Junction, Colo (KKCO) --- At a special board meeting, the Grand Junction Regional Airport Authority decided on the fate of an $8 million dollar expansion of West Star Aviation.

Six out of seven of the board members agreed that moving forward would be the best option.

This expansion includes building a new 45,500 square foot hanger and leasing 48,900 square feet of additional space.

Grand Junction would benefit from this as well as over 150 new jobs would be created and 40 of them would offer an average annual salary of $52,000.
