Western Colorado 211 makes changes

MESA COUNTY, Colo. If you're looking for community programs or resources, all you have to do is pick up the phone and dial 211.

Western Colorado 211 provides a one-stop shop for your human services needs, but information is always changing which makes getting updated information challenging, until now.

"It used to be a whole bunch of paperwork that people would handwrite in and send in," says Director of Western Colorado 211, Christie Higgins. "Now it's located on our new website with is wc211.org and all of those information, those pages are online so they can fill them out and e-mail them to us."

Western Colorado 211 training serves sixteen counties on the Western Slope from Garfield down to La Plata and Durango.

You can call them for anything from food stamps to insurance questions, and in the coming weeks, they'll begin offering tax tips.
