GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) – Colorado Parks and Wildlife will be stocking a large number of 10-inch rainbow trout into lakes and reservoirs across the Grand Valley. The Rifle and Silt area will also be stocked with trout over the next several weeks. The agency is wrapping-up their fall stocking schedule.
Mack Mesa Lake, Fruita Red Rocks Lake, Snooks Bottom Lake and many other lakes are part of this fall’s stocking schedule. Colorado Parks and Wildlife recommends fishing as a family activity and encourages everyone to take advantage of the cooler weather.
Fishing licenses can be purchased from your local Colorado Park and Wildlife office, license agents, and through the internet at the link below.
Agency officials say most of these waters will be stocked with catchable trout again in the Spring of 2013.
