Wreaths Across America

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Hundreds of fallen heroes were remembered today. The Western Slope Patriot Guard Riders placed 1,600 Christmas wreaths on graves at Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.

The wreaths are a way to thank those who fought for our country and honor them this holiday season.

"Their Christmas' are no longer, this is one way for us to do it by putting up the wreaths and helping the families this time of year," said Art Edwards of the Patriot Guard Riders.

The Wreaths Across America organization shipping about half a million wreaths nationwide. More than 100,000 wreaths were laid by headstones at Arlington National Cemetery. It's the 22nd Annual ceremony held at Arlington.
