Annual event gives toys to Salvation Army

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo (KKCO) The Western Slope Harley owners fired up their motorcycles for the 33rd annual Hog Toy Run Saturday afternoon, delivering toys to the Salvation Army toys for Christmas drive. The group's first stop was at Grand Mesa Middle School, and they eventually made their way down to Cactus Canyon in Clifton.

"We get together every year and do this. This is the 33rd year. I've done it for 9 years and every year it's just mind blowing," said PJ Buechoe, Director for Western Slope Harley.

The Salvation Army will continue to take applications for families who need help this Christmas until next Friday. If you'd like to donate toys to the cause, there are toy and food drive barrels all over town where you can drop off your donations.
