Bowling with a cause

Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO) - One local group got together on Thursday night to bowl for a good cause. The event is called Strikes for Life, and is a fundraiser for a local group who will participate in Relay for Life this year.

The group is called 50 Shades of Life, they say this is a fun way to raise money and awareness for a great cause.

"With out these fundraisers and raising money for American Cancer Society we will never find a cure and our goal is to find a cure, and cure cancer for everyone," says Darshann Ruckman, who is on the relay team.

The group is going to hold a few more fundraisers before the relay.
Fundraisers such as a big yard sale that will be held at the Clarion Inn on May 3 and 4.

The Relay for Life starts at 6pm on June 14 and runs through the 15 at Long Family Memorial Park.
