BOSTON, MA (AP)-- The "Mitt-Romney" page crossed the one million threshold Sunday afternoon.
In a tweet, his campaign thanked followers for their support and made a point of calling the one million followers "active."
Some high profile figures have been accused of beefing up their follower list with fake accounts.
Meanwhile, the White House's aggressive push to appeal to Twitter users has generated a much bigger following. President Obama's campaign page has more than 19 million twitter followers.
