Grand Junction, Colo (KKCO) --- The annual Downtown Farmer's Market kicks off Thursday night on Main Street, and local fruit farmers were preparing all day for the event.
Robert Helmer, Owner of Alida's Fruit, said he will be bringing tomatoes, rhubarb, cucumbers, hot sauce and basil vinaigrette, but he also has a couple new additions this year, including peach cider, habanero peach salsa and habanero peach jam.
Z's Orchard Owner Carol Zadrozny said they planted strawberries last year, so that will be a new product they will have at the market this year.
The Farmer's Market takes place every Thursday night from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and does not end until Sept. 19.
