Police called to Bookcliff Middle School for firework expolosion

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Police and Fire officials were called out to Bookcliff Middle School on Sunday night after a call came in saying an explosion had happened.

When officials arrived on scene they found smoke coming from the school area, and discovered it came from large fireworks.

No damage was done to the school, other than burn marks on the concrete.

Police officials said they now have one person in custody, but have not released his name or why he set fireworks off at the school.
