HOTCHKISS, Colo - The second round of the 1A football playoffs proved to be much tougher for the Hotchkiss Bulldogs (9-2) than the first round. The Bulldogs won easily at home over Holyoke in the first round, but fell at home to the Yuma Indians (10-) on Saturday.
In one of their lower scoring outputs of the year, the Bulldogs lost 34-20 putting an end to their hopes for two boys state championships this fall. The Hotchkiss boys soccer team took the state title earlier in the week.
