GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The Hotchkiss Bulldogs steam-rolled the visiting Roaring Fork Rams in the season-opener 35-7.

Jaime Rodriguez scored three of the touchdowns while Tell Hawk and Tanner Simpson scored the other two. The Bulldogs (1-0) took a 6-0 lead into the second quarter, and really turned things on in the final eight minutes of the half. Rodriguez had a 37-yard punt return to set up a Braeden Horton touchdown pass to Hawk. Then the Bulldogs forced a fumble to set up a four-yard touchdown run by Rodriguez.

Next week the Bulldogs will visit Cedaredge (1-0) on Sept. 9 at 7 p.m.
