GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- Hotchkiss achieved their season-long goal by making it to a semifinal game in the 1A playoffs, but they still have work to do to win a state championship.
No. 2 Hotchkiss will travel to No. 3 Burlington which is over 400 miles away on the border of Kansas. However, the team is actually looking forward to the road trip, and if they can win, it will be their first state championship appearance since 1949.
