Iran Installing 6,000 Centrifuges
Tehran, Iran (AP) Iran remains defiant in the face of international calls for a halt to its nuclear activities.
It's expanding a uranium enrichment program, announcing today that 6,000 centrifuges are being installed at a plant where 3,000 already are operating. Enriched material is needed for building bombs, although Tehran insists its nuclear goals are peaceful.
