Jerusalem (AP) A member of the governing coalition in Israel is calling for Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to immediately step down.
Shelly Yacimovich says he should suspend himself immediately because of a number of criminal scandals which she says interfere with his ability to lead the nation.
Olmert was questioned by Israeli police investigators at the prime minister's residence in Jerusalem this morning for about an hour.
Police won't say what it was about, but an Israeli newspaper reports Olmert was questioned about money he received from an American businessman before he became prime minister.
The session is seen t a further blotch on the already unpopular leader's reputation. He's been questioned in the past about real-estate deals and questionable political appointments.
Olmert's office says he's cooperating fully.
