Kabul, Afghanistan (AP) More than 40 people are dead and nearly 150 others wounded following a suicide car bombing outside the Indian embassy in Kabul.

The blast ripped through the building's reinforced walls and scattered bodies and pools of blood across some of the most protected streets in the Afghan capital.

Afghanistan has quickly blamed Pakistan, India's rival, for the deadliest blast in Kabul since the fall of the Taliban in 2001.
