Tehran, Iran (AP) Iran is test-firing more missiles today. A military official calls it a “defensive measure against invasions.”
The exercises are described as a show of Iran's military capabilities in the event of an attack by the U.S. or Israel.
Today's report says the missiles have “special capabilities” but does not elaborate. The missiles were launched throughout the night.
The report comes a day after Iran test-fired at least nine missiles, including ones capable of hitting Israel.
Secretary of state Condoleezza Rice warned Iran today that the United States will not back down in the face of Iranian threats against Israel.
Rice says the U.S. takes “very strongly” its obligations to defend its allies and that “no one should be confused of that.”
