London (AP) Scottish police have charged a 35-year-old man with attempting to murder a nurse who was found locked in the trunk of her car. Police say it’s possible she’d been there for up to 10 days.
Police describe the victim as “severely traumatized” and said she was suffering from dehydration and hypothermia. The suspect didn’t enter a plea and will remain in custody until his next court appearance in January.
The victim hadn’t been seen since December 15th. When officers on patrol in an area of Scotland where her bank card had been used heard cries coming from the car, they broke into it and freed her.
