Japan earthquake update

ICHINOSEKI, JAPAN (AP) - A magnitude 7.1 aftershock has raised the anxiety level in Japan.
Shoppers emptied store shelves, while drivers waited in long lines for gasoline and nearly a half–million homes have been left without power after the latest tremor. Three people were killed in yesterday's aftershock. It was the strongest since last month's magnitude 9.0 quake triggered a tsunami that wiped out hundreds of miles of Japan's northeastern coast. As many as 25,000 are believed to have been killed in the original disaster many businesses were closed today. At one supermarket, about 30 people were waiting in line when the store opened. Employees escorted customers through the aisles with flashlights. One gas station owner who had just managed to get his business reopened after the March quake says he feels like he's ``back to square one.'' A women still living in a shelter after losing her home in the tsunami says she screamed when the shaking woke her. She says: ``the world feels strange now. Even the way the clouds move isn't
right.'' There's been no sign that the latest tremor has created fresh problems at the nation's nuclear plants.
