Landikotal, Pakistan (KKCO) - Pakistan accuses NATO of an attack that killed at least 24 soldiers. Pakistan's army said NATO helicopters and fighter aircraft also injured 13 people in what officials are calling an "unprovoked" attack on two border posts near Afghanistan.

An international security assistance force spokesman confirmed NATO aircraft were called in to support troops during an incident near the border with Pakistan.

ISAF says the NATO-led coalition in Afghanistan remained committed to improving security along the border.

The U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan released a statement saying the U.S. would work closely with Pakistan to investigate the incident.
