Poland faults Russians in president's crash

WARSAW, Poland (AP) - Polish investigators say Russian air traffic controllers failed to warn the crew of President Lech Kaczynski's plane that it was off course shortly before it crashed last year.

Interior Minister Jerzy Miller - who heads a Polish panel investigating the crash - made the claim Tuesday, days after the release of a Russian report that laid the blame squarely on the Poles.

Miller says controllers confirmed to the crew that the plane was on the correct course to land - but the aircraft was actually flying 70 yards below the level it should have been at and also was 80 yards off course.

Miller was presenting parts of the recorded conversation between the crew and tower.

The April 10 crash in dense fog in Smolensk, Russia, killed Kaczynski and 95 others.

What you have to be kidding, this President of the USA will give state secrets to the Bolsheviks and stab all the Allies of the USA in the Back. The people of this country stands behind our Allies not our current Government. This idiot we have as President is bowing to the commies right now probably telling them they can attack and take back Thailand. He may even be giving the Commie china one of our Nimitz class naval fleets. Just pure speculation on my part.

The report also claimed that visibility was good (ie over 1200m) when it was very poor (ie 200m or less)... Can you trust the Russians? What about the gunshots on the mobile phones after the crash...? What about the Russian returning another body instead of the former President to Poland...? The real question is whether the USA or the UK are too afraid about upsetting Russia as opposed to finding out the truth...
