Santa Claus is coming to town

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) – Santa and his reindeer have already left the North Pole and are racing around the world for Christmas Eve.

Military specialists at the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) are tracking St. Nick in his trip around the world.

Up-to-the-minute reports, pictures and video will be provided live on NORAD’s website from key stops on Santa’s journey.

Children can watch Santa’s journey live on NORAD’s website at www.noradsanta.org .

Tens of thousands of children also call the NORAD Tracks Santa Operations Center to talk to a volunteer who can tell them exactly where Santa is. Last year, NORAD Tracks Santa answered 80,000 phone calls and answered 7,000 emails.

NORAD Tracks Santa already has more than 866,000 “likes” on Facebook this year and more than 83,000 followers on Twitter. This year a Santa-Tracker app was also released.
