Grand Junction Police say they now have a man in custody who was sneaking around a movie theater snatching purses from people.

They took him in last night at the Regal Cinemas.

Authorities say both movie goers and Regal employees noticed a man walking around the theater while a movie was playing, then leaving the theater and hiding out in a nearby men's bathroom.
They say employees became suspicious and called police.

Officers arrived and arrested the man.

They say the man did not get away with anything he stole.
