An elderly couple got quite the wake up call this morning when a truck crashed into their house, just inches from their bedroom.
It happened on the corner of 24 3/4 Road and Cimeron. The couple wasn't injured but the driver and the passenger of the truck had to be taken to St. Mary's Hospital for non–life threatening injuries.
Grand Junction Police say the driver of the truck may have been drunk and speeding when he crashed into an emtpy trailer then into the house.
Investigators say that collision sent the trailer into another truck.
Police have not released the name of the driver of the truck, but they say he is facing several charges.
