Two Men Arrested After SWAT Team Standoff

A late–night SWAT team standoff ends with the arrest of two Mesa County men.

Just after midnight on Sunday, the Mesa County SWAT team executed a no knock search warrant at the home of Wilhelm Bostelman on North Avenue.

Authorities say they found Bostelman walking around in a neighbor's yard with a hand gun.
A deputy immediately drew his gun, yelled at him to put his hands in the air, and put him in handcuffs.

While they were searching him, authorities found a pocket knife, several razors, a syringe, and women's makeup in his pockets.

Officials say Bostelman was out on bond and should not have been carrying weapons, and that the syringe they found on him tested positive for meth.

Authorities also arrested his son, Dietrich Bostelman at the scene on charges of criminal menacing.

Both men are currently being held in the Mesa County Jail.
