Sex Assault Suspect Says He Was Raped in Jail
A man who pleaded guilty to attempted sexual assault on an 82–year–old woman says he was raped in jail.
21–year–old Tyler Christensen is behind bars while he awaits sentencing. Grand Junction Police say in November he groped an elderly woman in an elevator, put his hand over her mouth, but then let her go.
Christensen told investigators last month that 27–year–old Cody Gray threatened him in order to force Christensen to have sex with Gray in their shared cell. Gray is serving time for drug charges. The Mesa County Sheriff's Office issued an arrest warrant for Cody for three sexual assault charges.
