Colorado Supreme Court in Delta today

Students got a first hand look today at how the judicial system works as the High Court makes a rare stop on the Western Slope.

The Colorado Supreme Court heard arguments for two cases today at the Delta performing arts center.

Students from Cedaredge, Delta, Hotchkiss and Paonia and the public were invited to attend.

A question and answer session between students and attorneys followed the arguments and a few selected students got to each lunch with the justices.

Today's hearing is part of the state judicial branch's "Courts in the Community" outreach program and "Law Day" which was enacted on May first in 1986.
