Local area Verizon Wireless customers will be out of service until around 3:20pm today due to a cut fiber optic line.
A fiber optic line that runs with the I-70 corridor was cut around 12:18 today. This fiber optic line runs to one of the Verizon towers that supplies cel coverage.
A spokesman for Verizon says that they are aware of the problem and are working to fix it. A repair of this nature takes 2 to 3 hours to fix, they said.
