Although the Mesa County Sheriff's Office says there have not been any reports of fraud or theft with stimulus checks, deputies say you should keep an eye on your mailbox--because someone else may be.
The sheriff's office says to protect yourself from potential theft check your mail as soon as you can everyday, have a mailbox with a lock on it and cash or deposit the government issued check as soon as you get it.
