The US Fish and Wildlife service announced that the white tailed animal will be reviewed some more to see if the species should be protected under the endangered species act.
This should make supporters of the recent rejected proposal to ban shooting them happy.
No matter how you feel about them, the Fish and Wildlife Service wants information from the public about the species.
They'll be accepting comments and information until july 7th—which can be submitted by clicking here.
Up for consideration are the potential impacts of threats to the animals from human causes, for example shooting them as target practice, along with impacts from natural causes.
