Local Marine's Surprise Visit
One student at Fruita Monument High School got a special visit today.
Tristan Beck's cousin, a marine, who is home on leave wanted to surprise him in class. Lance Corporal Teddy Rich has served a tour in Iraq and a tour in Afghanistan. He hadn't been home since December. Rich says it has been an emotional trip.
He is on emergency leave because his mother is on life support at St. Mary's hospital while she waits for a lung transplant. He will have six more days to spend time with his family and then he will head back to his current station in Hawaii.
