Flooding concerns had closed one lane of Interstate 70 near Loma, but has now been reopened.
The westbound I-70 lane, from mile marker 14 to 26, had been detoured through US 6 due to rising waters. C-DOT Workers had been placing boulders on the riverbanks to keep water off the eastbound lane.
Heavy snowpack and an unusually warm spring has created flooding conditions near the Colorado River. Flooding has been reported at the Connected Lakes area and portions of the Riverfront Trail have been closed off near 24 Road.
