Opening Day for Junior College World Series

The stands were full as the Junior College World Series officially kicked off Saturday.

This is the 51st annual JUCO World Series. The tournament is being played at Stocker Stadium in Grand Junction.

Ten Junior College teams from across the country will compete for baseball supremecy. The tournament has 19 games from May 24th to May 31st.

A good crowd turned out for opening day on Saturday. Fans of all ages packed around Suplizio Field to watch the first four games.

Games begin at 10 a.m. on Sunday, with the first game of the loser's bracket.
