Power has been restored to the Old Mesa County Court House and Grand Junction City Hall.
Generators are providing temporary power to the buildings until a permanent fix can be made. The buildings will be open for business on Monday.
According to Xcel Energy, a bad underground wire caused the power outage that affected the block between 5th and 6th street and between White and Rood avenues. This outage forced the closing of the Old Courthouse and City Hall offices on Friday. The outage also brought down the city and county websites.
