The Division of Wildlife held a women-only hunter education class this weekend.
The two-day class is mandatory for anyone who wants to hunt in the state of Colorado, but the women-only set up makes the environment friendlier for first-time learners.
The class teaches women hunting laws, gun-handling, and safety and survival skills.
It is open to women of all ages.
For more information on the classes, including upcoming dates, contact the Division of Wildlife in Grand Junction.
