More than 30, 000 seatbelt violations and warnings were issued during Colorado's "Click It or Ticket" campaign.
The purpose of the three week campaign is to increase seatbelt usage and decrease the number of unbuckled fatalities and serious injuries.
Colorado State Patrol and nearly 100 police and sheriff's departments across Colorado helped with May's campaign. Unbuckled teen drivers and passengers were the major target.. In the first week alone, more than 500 citations were given to teens between the ages of 16 and 20.
206 unbuckled people died in traffic crashes in Colorado last year.
