Gas prices have been predicted to hit $4.00 a gallon by this summer, but unfortunately, summer has come early.

AAA reports that the average price for a gallon of unleaded gasoline in Grand Junction is $4.01, up two cents from last week.
Grand Junction is above the state average which is at $3.93.
Experts say that what seems to be a non stop increase in prices is because of falling gasoline supplies and the high cost of crude oil.
