Former Teacher Gets Community Corrections, Not Prison

A former Grand Junction teacher battling meth addiction is sentenced to four years in community corrections.

Tammie Liberty Lee, formerly known as Tammie Lee Reed, was found guilty of seven felonies.

Wednesday morning, she had her day in court.

Friends and family were given a chance to ask for leniency in her sentencing, and they got it.

Judge Brian Flynn ordered Lee to serve her time in community corrections – not in prison.

Lee faces eighteen months to four years for each felony, but since they can be served out concurrently, her sentencing is for four years.
