Hite to Face Charges in Mesa County in 30 days

The Mesa County Sheriff's office says that the Grand Junction mother accused of killing her newborn will be back here to face charges within 30 days.

The transport division of the Mesa County Sheriff's office has had contact with the Alaska authorities to make plans for Morgan Hite's return to Grand Junction.

Hite is charged with the first degree murder of her infant son. Police say Hite secretly delivered a baby boy in a neighbor's bathtub, then wrapped him in a garbage bag, put him in a plastic tote and put the baby in a bedroom closet at her family's home.

The body allegedly remained hidden for two months before the 22 year old's father and stepmother discovered it wrapped in a towel.
