A road closure that has caused Debeque residents to detour for months will no longer be a problem, starting Friday.
The Debeque Bridge on V.5 road will officially re-open in the morning at 11 am. The bridge was closed because it began to crumble away piece by piece.
The new bridge will be able to handle significantly heavier loads. It also has a much wider travel lanes as well.
The project is being completed one month ahead of schedule and $70 thousand under budget.
