As the summertime heats up, so do the outdoor grilling activities.
But rising gas prices are also heating up grocery bills.
Since last year, food prices overall are up 4%.
That's nearly double the normal annual increase, compared to the past fifteen years.
This year, a package of eight hot dogs is up 7%, a sixteen ounce bag of chips is up 12%, soda is up 11% and an eight pack of hot dog buns is up 17%.
But most everyone 11 News talked to out at Highline Lake agreed, you can try to find your groceries on sale, but you can't put a price on fun.
