In the early morning hours of May 30, 2008, a vehicle flashed their lights and made contact with another vehicle in the area of Colorado Ave. and Wedgewood Dr., in Grand Junction. Two males exited a vehicle described as a dark colored, newer model, mini-van and approached a car parked in front of 419 ½ Wedgewood Dr., which had pulled over thinking their was a problem with their vehicle. The victims thought the car flashing their lights at them was trying to warn them something was wrong with their car. Instead, the three victims inside the vehicle were assaulted and an unknown amount of cash was taken. The suspects then fled in their vehicle.
One suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’ 11” to 6’ 2” tall, with an average build and a goatee. The second suspect is described as a Hispanic or a light skinned black male with a skinny build and 5’ 6” to 5’ 7” tall. Investigators are asking the public to assist them in identifying the suspects in this case. An attached drawing of the Hispanic suspect with the goatee is provided for public/media use.
