Experts say a child that's fed proper nutrition will flourish in the academic world, and to make sure children in need get the food they need, District 51 is feeding them for free.

The free meals are thanks to the federally–funded Summer Food Service Program.

Any District 51 student aged eighteen and younger is eligible for the free meals.

Adults can also take part in the program for just $2.75 per meal.

The program is available at the following school locations and times:

Clifton Elementary School, breakfast 8:00-8:30 AM, lunch 11:30 AM-1:30 PM.

Dos Rios Elementary School, breakfast 7:00-7:30 AM, lunch 11:00 AM-1:00 PM.
