El Pomar Gives $87,000 in Grants
18 non profit groups from Western Colorado Counties gathered together tonight to receive tens of thousands of dollars in grant money.
The non profits were awarded a total of $87,000 in grants from El Pomar Foundation's Northwest Regional Council. The non profits were chosen for their work with education, health care, youth development, those with disabilities, and services for victims of domestic and sexual abuse.
The Western Slope Center for Children is one local organization honored. The councils were put together across the state to better understand and respond to the specific needs of each community.
